THE Don Honorio Ventura State University (DHVSU) Candaba Campus marked its first founding anniversary with the inauguration of its brand new extension building.
Pampanga Governor Dennis Pineda, who donated the funds for the construction of the building, spearheaded the ribbon-cutting and blessing ceremony together with Mayor Rene Maglanque and Department of Labor and Employment Secretary Silvestre Bello.
In his message, Pineda reminded students to focus on their studies as it will serve as the key to a better future.
"I know this pandemic is challenging even for students like you but I hope you will be inspired by the better future that awaits you if you finish your studies," said Pineda.
He also vowed to provide more support to DHVSU Candaba campus to upgrade the quality of education it offers to its students.
Maglanque, for his part, expressed gratitude to Pineda for his continuous assistance to CandabeƱo youth.
He said the new building provided additional classrooms for students and offices to faculty staff of DHVSU Candaba.
"Although classes are limited to online during this pandemic, these buildings are all in preparation for when we go to the better normal situation. We want our facilities to match the good quality of education we will be offering to our students once face-to-face classes are allowed," Maglanque said.
