The Don Honorio Ventura State University (DHVSU) is targeting to open its Macabebe campus by June 2025, Pampanga Fourth District Representative Anna York Bondoc said.
The lawmaker added that she met with DHVSU Apalit Campus Head Norman Simon and Academic Head Mark Anthony Castro to finalize preparations for the soft opening of the new campus.
Bondoc said the initial rollout will involve a limited number of students and offer a single degree program, the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.
The pioneer batch will primarily consist of students from Macabebe and Masantol who had previously applied to the Apalit campus.
While construction is still underway, Bondoc said classes will temporarily be held at TESDA Macabebe and DHVSU Apalit until facilities in the new campus are ready.
The first campus building is targeted for completion by September 2025, with the entire facility expected to be finished by March 2026.
Bondoc said faculty members for the first batch of students will come from DHVSU Apalit.
She added that the hiring for the Macabebe campus is expected to begin by next year.
