Dialysis patient dies of Covid-19

A DIALYSIS patient from Santa Lucia Resettlement Center in Barangay San Isidro, Magalang died of coronavirus disease (Covid-19).

The 53-year-old male patient, the town's 15th Covid-19 patient, died due to complications, including chronic kidney disease and severe anemia.

"Ikinalulungkot po naming ibinabalita sa inyo na sumakabilang buhay na si Patient M15 dahil sa komplikasyon dulot ng chronic kidney disease at severe anemia," the local government stated.

On August 1, 2020, the patient was initially admitted at the Don Andres Luciano District Hospital in Magalang but was later transferred to the Tarlac Provincial Hospital.

Patient M15 underwent swab testing and the result, confirming that he acquired the virus, came out on August 9, 2020.

The patient is the second Covid-19 fatality of this agricultural municipality.

The Municipal Government urged the residents to coordinate with local health center if they experience flu-like symptoms.

"Kung may nararamdamang sintomas ng Covid-19 tulad ng pag-ubo, lagnat, o pagkawala ng pangamoy at panlasa ay agad itong i-report sa Tanod Covid," the local government unit said.

"Gamit ang Tanod Covid, maaari ng ipagbigay alam sa Magalang-LGU kung kayo ay may sintomas ng Covid-19 para agarang maaksiyunan ng lokal na pamahalaan," it added.
