DOH checks evacuation centers in Pampanga

The Department of Health (DOH) Central Luzon Center for Health Development on Tuesday, July 22 visited evacuation centers in Pampanga to check on the health conditions of evacuees.

DOH Region 3 Director Corazon Flores said her office and the Provincial DOH Office provided medical services to residents affected by Tropical Storm Crising.

The DOH Central Luzon said it distributed medicines such as Doxycycline that are needed in case of flooding.

The agency's regional office said it also worked to ensure clean drinking water, proper sanitation and hygiene in the evacuation centers are provided to the evacuees.

As the agency is on code white alert, Flores said that the DOH continues to focus on the health situation on the ground, especially in affected areas.

She added that the agency monitors and act on the health risks associated with the monsoon season.
