THE Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) is set to provide technical assistance to local government units (LGUs) inside the National Capital Region Plus (NCR+) bubble.
The DSWD committed to assist the LGUs of the NCR, Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna and Rizal.
It said it will provide the list of beneficiaries of Emergency Subsidy Program (ESP) to the LGUs covered by the latest financial assistance of the government to low-income beneficiaries that are affected by the imposition of the enhanced community quarantine from March 29 to April 4.
The list of beneficiaries served in the ESP implementation may be used by the LGUs as a reference for identifying the individuals who will be given aid in their respective localities.
Based on the issuance of the Department of Budget and Management, an eligible individual is entitled to P1,000, provided that the assistance given to a family should not exceed the cap of P4,000.
The DSWD added that the LGUs may include other beneficiaries such as low-income individuals living alone and belonging to the most affected and vulnerable sectors.
The assistance will be given in cash or in kind depending on the discretion of the LGUs.
