The City Government of San Fernando has urged residents, government offices, buildings, establishments, learning institutions, and households to participate in the display of Philippine national flags from May 28 to June 12, 2025.
Mayor Vilma Balle-Caluag recently released Executive Order No. CMO2025-023, which enjoins the said sites to celebrate with the nation during the commencement of National Flag Day on May 28 and the observance of Philippine Independence Day on June 12 by displaying the national flag.
The city government said that San Fernando is fully complying with Republic Act No. 8491, or The Flag and Heraldic Code of the Philippines, and Executive Order No. 79 (1994).
The local government added that the national flag is the "symbol of patriotism, love of country, and sense of nationhood, and that the community’s involvement is vital to realize this."
