Financial forum for small entrepreneurs staged anew

ANOTHER edition of a digital financial forum was staged by the City Investment Promotion Office (Cipo) and Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Pampanga on April 30, 2021, this time, for the members of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).

The organizers tapped the similar set of resource speakers coming from two private bank companies— Bank of the Philippine Islands and Security Bank — together with a state-run financial company, Small Business Corporation, and a private financial institution.

According to the organizers, the MSMEs are included in the roster of industries that were badly hit by the Covid-19 pandemic, which pushed the agencies to help them recover through the provision of financial partners.

The speakers shared anew the details about their loans and saving programs, including the application processes, ranges in rates, fees, and charges, and documentary requirements.

This was a supplement to different recovery assistance programs of Cipo and DTI for the MSMEs, including seminars and workshops on Business Continuity Plan, trade fairs in malls and public places, and the “Negosyo Serbisyo sa Barangay” (provision of raw materials and cash assistance).

The first edition of the forum was held on April 26 that featured San Fernando’s local lantern makers. (PR)
