GUAGUA town Mayor Dante Torres and Vice-Mayor Sajid Khan Eussof will be hosting free medical check-ups Saturday, October 27. at the San Juan Nepomuceno Covered court.

The event is part of the commitment of the municipal government to bring medical services closer to the people. The activity aims to cater to indigent constituents who do not have means to avail of medical checkups.

The medical activity will provide checkups for tumors, goiter, gallstones and hernia. The event is open to the public and will start at 8 a.m. Saturday.

The program is the first event where Torres and Eussof are seen together in public streamers. The top two officials of Guagua town have agreed to bury the hatchet and team up in the 2019 elections.

Torres said the incumbent vice-mayor is his runningmate in the 2019 elections under the banner of Kambilan.

Torres feels the unification will be a game changer for Guagua.

"I foresee less, if at all, no friction in local government transactions, less political bickerings and more focus on local governance," he said.
