GOVERNOR Dennis “Delta” Pineda led the meeting of the Provincial Peace and Order Council (PPOC) and Provincial Anti-drug Abuse Council (PADAC) at the Kingsborough International Convention Center on Wednesday, June 22.
Pineda who is the chair of the POC-PADAC, met with officials from the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) and other officials of the province.
The results of the recent POC and ADAC Audit were discussed along with the crime situation in Pampanga, illegal drugs situation and drug-clearing updates, internal peace and security among others.
It also recognized, under the Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (E-CLIP), former rebels who have already converted to the government.
Although the overall functionality rate of the province was high in the assessment conducted, a few municipalities were found to be slightly left behind. As such, the DILG proposed to the council the creation of an incentive award for cities and municipalities that will demonstrate exemplary performance in maintaining peace and order in their respective areas.
A technical working group (TWG) will also be formed to iron out the details of the recognition.
