GOVERNOR Dennis Pineda turned over P1.9 million in cash donations from Pampanga’s various local government units and the private sector to the Provincial Government of Batangas to be used for relief efforts for those affected by the Taal eruption.
The Pampanga Mayors League was able to gather some P1.5 million in cash donations. An additional P400,000 came from private donors.
Governor Hermilando “Dodo” Mandanas received the said donations during turn over ceremonies at the Batangas Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (PDRRMC) Command and Control Center the other day.
Governor Pineda is also back in Batangas for another set of relief operations. The governor is set to distribute 13,000 food packs and 20,000 packs of non-food items.
