Guv urges SK officials to help Capitol programs

GOVERNOR Dennis “Delta” Pineda believes that the province’s Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) or Youth Council will be able to help in the programs and services of the Provincial Government.

“Datang ing aldo nak, ikayung palit kekami. As early as today nung byasa kayung sumawup kareng sasakupan yu, later on ikayung magleader keng barangay yu. Pakisabi kung mayap, anyaran ke ing kekayung suporta (The day will come you will replace us. As early as today if you know how to help others, later on you will become leaders of your barangay. I ask for your support),” Pineda said during the Youth-Oriented Resiliency Briefing with SK officials at the Bren Z. Guiao Convention Center (BZGCC) in the City Of San Fernando the other day.

This as Pineda urged the cooperation of the 3,844 SK officials from the four districts of the province “in bringing the provincial government’s programs and services closer to every needy Kapampangan in their respective areas.”

Governor Pineda encouraged the youth leaders to help their kabalens, especially those with medical needs, by referring them to the health programs of the Capitol.

“Nung atin kayung balung ka-barangay yu na mag-undergo karening alwa-alwang cases keng health, please help them. Please pakidala yula keng Kapitolyo at ikaming bahalang mag-asikasu karela. Maragul a bage na mismung ikayu asopan yula reng constituents yu papunta Kapitolyu (If you know people from your barangay with health cases, please help them. Bring them to the Capitol and we’ll take care of them. It will be big help if you accompany them to the Capitol),” he added.

The said seminar highlighted topics on disaster and risk reduction management and youth resiliency program, which were discussed by Angelina Blanco, Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) head; student recruitment of insurgents, tackled by PCOL Jean Fajardo, Director, Pampanga Police Provincial Office (PPO); and Alagang Nanay – Healthcare Delta.
