CLOSE to 200 Filipino off-roaders are expected to participate in the Rainforest Challenge (RFC) Global Series Philippines Championship Race which will be held in Clark on August 24 to 27.
Rene Romero, event chairman of Rain Forest Global Series Philippines, said the organizing committee has started accepting applications for registration.
Each group of competitors called Touring Adventurer Team is composed of a driver and a co-driver in one 4X4 vehicle, Romero said.
A registered vehicle may carry up to five persons. Drivers and co-drivers must be Filipino citizens and 18 years old and above, he added.
“The Touring Adventurer slots are limited, we encourage participants to register in advance to avoid registration and payment queues at the event site,” Romero said.
To sign up for the Touring Adventurers Package, the driver and co-driver must accomplish the RFC Touring Adventurers Entry Form, submit the documentary requirement, and pay the registration fee.

Registration, sponsors’ display, opening ceremony, race briefing, press conference, and welcome dinner is scheduled during the first day of the event, Romero said.
Winners in the Philippine leg will represent the country in the RFC grand event in Malaysia in November this year, according to Romero.
