KAPANALIG at Kambilan ning Memalen Pampanga (Kambilan) Chairperson Governor Lilia Pineda on Monday signed an alliance with Hugpong Ng Pagbabago (HNP), a regional political party led by Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio at The Blue Leaf Filipinas in Parañaque City.

HNP Secretary-General Antonio del Rosario, who is also the governor of Davao del Norte, said during the press conference that the alliance is set to ensure the support for President Rodrigo Duterte and senators to be endorsed by the HNP come 2019 polls.

However, the final listing of senators that HNP will endorse has not yet been confirmed as of Monday, August 13, 2018.

Del Rosario said their political party has opened its doors to an alliance with political parties and persons who share the same beliefs, thrusts, vision and mission of the HNP.

Meantime, Kambilan said it shares the same objectives as that of HNP, and have agreed to form a political alliance with the party that will pave the way for a deeper reach of their advocacies through the provision of mutual support.

Governor Pineda, during the press conference said Kambilan shares the same objectives with HNP in support of President Duterte’s plans and programs for the country.

(We in the Province of Pampanga and I as chairperson of the Kapanalig at Kambilan Ning Memalen Pampanga o Kambilan, are happy to forge this alliance with HNP because we have the same objectives and advocacies, that is to govern peacefully and rightfully our constituents. I, together with Vice-Governor Dennis Pineda, provincial board members, Pampanga Mayors League President Mylyn Pineda-Cayabyab, all mayors, vice-mayors and members of councils and Kambilan continue to support President Duterte and his programs for the country)

Kambilan is the ruling local political party in Pampanga organized in December 2009. (Marna Dagumboy-Del Rosario)
