LGU issues anti-littering ordinance

THE local government of Mabalacat City, through its environment office, has warned the public about its anti-littering ordinance.

City Ordinance Number 45, Series of 2016 prohibits littering, spitting, urinating and dumping of waste in vacant lots, sidewalks, plaza, roads, and other public places within the city.

The City Environment and Natural Resources Office (Cenro) stated that individuals who will be found violating the ordinance will be penalized.

For the first offense, violators will be fined P500 and will be ordered to undergo a four-hour environmental community work and one day imprisonment.

For the second offense, violators will be fined P1,000 and will directed to undergo a four-hour environmental community work and two days imprisonment.

For the third offense, the fine will be P5,000 and 30 days imprisonment.

The Cenro office urged the people to cooperate with the program to make Mabalacat a clean and beautiful city.
