LGUs undergo greenhouse gases inventory training

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO Representatives from Pampanga’s 21 local government units (LGUs) underwent a three-day training on Greenhouse Gases (GHG) Inventory Training Workshop.

The Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office PDRRMO initiated the training program in coordination with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources - Environment Management Bureau (DENR-EMB)

The PDRRMO, upon the instruction of Governor Dennis "Delta" Pineda, set to training on October 12-14.

The workshop is aimed to equip participants with baseline data and climate indicators that will be used as a guide to plans involving Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation.

PDRRM Officer Angie Blanco welcomed the participants from the LGUs of Pampanga during the opening program at the Orchids Garden, City of San Fernando.

Participants include City/Municipal DRRM Officers, Environment and Natural Resources Officers, Planning and Development Coordinators, Engineers, Accountants, and Agriculture Officers.

The GHG Inventory Training is one of the province's initiatives to pursue disaster resilience.
