Local execs' son excels at UP

THE first-born son of spouses Rosan S. Paquia, CPDO head and concurrent chief-of-staff at Mabalacat City Hall, and Narce P. Paquia, City Budget Officer, graduated cum laude from the University of the Philippines (UP) Diliman with a degree of Bachelor of Science in Mass Communications major in Communications Research.

Schenley Amos Perena Paquia, 22, is a soft-spoken achiever since his elementary and high school days at Don Bosco Academy in Barangay Mabiga, Mabalacat City. He plans to obtain a Master's degree and then a doctorate in Mass Communications.

Schenley's siblings, Sean Aaron, 20, is a Dean's Lister at the University of Sto. Tomas where he is taking up a Mechanical Engineering course. Afterwards, he plans to get a commercial airline pilot's license.

The youngest in the Paquia brood, Shermaine, 16, also distinguishes herself as a Grade 12 at Holy Family Academy, with exceptionally good grades.

The trio brings pride and honor not only to the Perena-Paquia family but also to the City of Mabalacat. (Benjie R. Pangan)
