ANGELES CITY -- The Angeles University Foundation (AUF) formally opened the Macapagal Museum recently in its new location.

The Museum, now located at the ground floor of the Lourdes Building (University Library), proudly features a rich exhibition of memorabilia of two past Philippine presidents — Her Excellency Gloria Macapagal Arroyo and her father Diosdado Macapagal.

The former President and House Speaker led the ceremonial ribbon-cutting along with Archbishop Emeritus Most. Rev. Paciano Aniceto, AUF University president Dr. Joseph Angeles, and close kin Erlyn De Leon, Angelita Cortez, and Alex Macapagal.

Also gracing the affair were Pampanga political personalities Angeles City mayor Carmelo Lazatin Jr., and Pampanga 1st District Rep. Carmelo “Jon” Lazatin III.

The Museum aims to promote and imbibe, more particularly among the youth, the notable contributions of the two leaders who hail from Pampanga in nation-building.
