A MAN was arrested by authorities during the implementation of a search warrant in Nueva Ecija on February 2, 2021.

Police Regional Office-Central Luzon Director Police Brigadier General Valeriano T. De Leon said personnel of Aliaga Police Station implemented search warrant no. 04-2021 for violation of Republic Act 10591 against Jeffrey Corpuz, resident of Barangay San Pablo Bata, Aliaga, Nueva Ecija, which resulted in his arrest.

Seized from his possession were one caliber .9 millimeter (mm) without serial number and make, one magazine, seven pieces live ammunition for caliber 9mm, one piece holster and one piece firearm silencer tube.

“We have been continuously beefing up our aggressive drive to recover and to seize loose firearms through continuous police operations and implementation of Search Warrants against illegal gun owners. May this serve as a stern warning to all especially those who have not yet renewed their licenses or turned over their undocumented firearms in their nearest police stations for safekeeping. Stricter penalties are imposed against violators,” De Leon said. (PR)
