OFFICERS and members of the Jose Abad Santos Masonic Lodge No. 333 conducted an outreach activity on May 4 at the Angeles City District Jail in Camp Tomas J Pepito, Sto. Domingo, Angeles City.

This activity was made possible with the cooperation of personnel from the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology personnel Philippine National Police in the city.

During the outreach project, hygiene care kits and essential supply kits were distributed to 30 persons deprived of liberty (PDL), particularly the senior citizens who are sick.

Likewise, bibles and spiritual enhancement pamphlets and basic medicines were also given to the PDLs.

The items, including towels, slippers, medicines, vitamins, alcohol, and face masks, were provided to the inmates who are mostly abandoned by their families.

John Clark, leader of the Masonic Lodge, said the virtue of charity is the foundation of a true Mason.

"This charitable activity and more others to come are endeavored to be sustained by the Brethren as part of our masonic duty to help those distressed worthy Brother Masons and those who need brotherly help and assistance," he said.
