New DHVSU campus to target 500 students on opening

BACOLOR -- The new Don Honorio Ventura State University (DHVSU) in Candaba town is expecting to cater to 200 to 500 students on its initial opening this coming June.

The new satellite campus will offer courses like Bachelor of Science in Business Administration majors in Marketing and Economics, Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship, Bachelor in Public Administration, Bachelor of Elementary Education, Bachelor of Secondary Education majors in Math and English, and Bachelor of Science in Information Technology.

Earlier this week, 1,000 senior high school students attended the DHVSU-Candaba Campus (DCC) orientation last January 29 at the municipal hall in Candaba town. Town officials promised all enrollees in the town’s satellite campus for school year 2020-2021 to receive scholarships and benefits.

DHVSU President Enrique Baking hailed the new campus as a new milestone in the history of the state university as it strives to reach out to more students in the province.

The DHVSU leadership said that the local government of Candaba promised to give assistance to the would-be enrollees like financial support, uniforms and even equipment for the new campus.
