NGCP announces 12-hour power interruption amid ECQ

SANTA RITA -- Staying at home amid ongoing enhance community quarantine (ECQ) in the middle of this summer season may be a little bit unbearable as the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) has scheduled a 12-hour power outage on Tuesday, May 5.

The scheduled power interruption will affect consumers of the Pampanga 2 Electric Cooperative (PELCO 2). The power outage will start from 6:00 AM to 6:00PM. There will be no electricity in the barangays of the towns of Guagua, Sasmuan, Lubao, Sta. Rita, Bacolor and Porac.

In Floridablanca, there will be no power in Brgy. Gutad; Brgy. Anon (some areas); Floridablanca Resettlement (Brgy. Apalit, Brgy. Pabanlag, Brgy. Pandaguirig and Brgy. Palmayo); and Brgy. Mawacat.

The NGCP will undertake the installation of a new HVE (DS & PCB) in relation to the upgrading project of Hermosa 69kV as well as uprating of underrated conductors at 69kV Bus A and uprating of 69kV Bus A PCB.

The NGCP will also transfer the Hermosa-Guagua 69kV Line from 100MV A T2 to 300MV A T1 to anticipate overloading of 100MV A T2 as well as the transfer of SFELAPCO-Floridablanca from Hermosa-Guagua 69kV Line to Hermosa Floridablanca 69kV Line to anticipate overloading of Hermosa-Guagua 69kV Line; and correction of various hotspots and Hermosa Substation.
