CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- The second most wanted drug personality of this capital city was nabbed in an anti-illegal drug operation launched by City Drug Enforcement Unit in Barangay San Isidro recently.
City of San Fernando Chief Of Police Superintendent Roland Agohob said the suspect identified as Jay-R Castillar, 20, was arrested in his residence after he positively sold illegal drugs to a police agent.
Castillar was listed as the top two most wanted drug personality after being identified as the source of methamphetamine hydrochloride (shabu) of drug users in nearby Baranay Maimpis this city, Agohob said.
"Castillar was long been under surveillance for his grievous involvement in illegal drugs, particularly being the source in Barangay Maimpis. And when my troops finally pinpointed his location, we immediately planned the buy-bust operation which resulted to his successful arrest," he said.
Confiscated from Castillar's possession were eight sachets of suspected shabu amounting to P10,500, P500 marked money used in the operations and his personal mobile phone which contains some of his transactions with buyers.
Agohob said police discovered from Castillar's mobile phone a video of him in the act of using shabu in his residence. The video was used as additional evidence for the cases filed against him.
Agohob also said that Castillar's cohort identified as Anizza Smith a.k.a. "Ate" was also arrested by local police in a follow-up operation conducted by police in Barangay San Jose later that afternoon.
Smith, who is a resident of Parola Compound in Tondo, Manila, was allegedly a drug dealer who supplies drugs to Castillar, Agohob said.
Recovered from her possession were packs of shabu with a street value of P25,000 and other personal belongings.
Castillar and Smith are now charged with criminal cases for violation of Sections 5 and 11 of the Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
