No tax increase in Angeles City

ANGELES City Mayor Carmelo Lazatin Jr. has assured businessmen in the city that there will be no tax increase in the next few years.

The mayor made the clarification following reports that the City Government is scheduled to impose additional taxes on business establishments.

"Let me remind you that the City Government has no intention to add any amount for the taxes. Mayaman na ang Angeles City," he said.

Lazatin also thanked his constituents' contribution to the economic growth of the city.

"Malaki man yan o malaking establishment, basta nagbabayad yan ng tama, hindi na kailangang magtaas," he added.

He urged businessmen to obey all laws relative to operating their respective businesses.

"Just make sure that you are not doing any violations, that will compromise your business, workers and Angelenos," he said.

Lazatin said the Business Permit and Licensing Division, City Environment and Natural Resources Office, City Health Office and City Information Office conduct regular inspections on various businesses in the city.
