
The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency recently intercepted "kush" or high-grade marijuana worth P357,450 in Clark Freeport.
The illegal drugs originated from Woodland Hills, California, USA and arrived at the Port of Clark last May 14, 2025.
The illegal substance, weighing approximately 238.3 grams, was concealed in a package declared as “men's sweater.”
The agency said the operation was conducted by the PDEA Clark International Airport Inter-Agency Drug Interdiction Task Group, Bureau of Customs-Port of Clark, Philippine National Police (PNP) Aviation Security Unit 3, PNP Drug Enforcement Group, National Bureau of Investigation, and PDEA Intelligence Service.
The authorities conducted the operation based on information relayed by foreign counterparts to PDEA International Cooperation and Foreign Affairs Service.
Meanwhile, the PDEA reported the seizure of some P68,000 worth of suspected shabu during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Marcos Village, Mabalacat City on May 17.
This led to the arrest of suspects Boy, 26; Bulabog, 34; Ner, 32; Vino, 20; Mer, 32; Win, 29; and Ben 45.
Operating teams recovered nine sachets containing more or less 10 grams of suspected shabu, assorted drug paraphernalia, and the marked money used by the agents.
In Zambales, PDEA confiscated P68,000 worth of shabu and assorted drug paraphernalia during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Rabanes, San Marcelino town on May 16.
The agency identified the arrested suspects as Makoy, 45; Ren-Ren; 39; Jojo, 47; Jer, 37; and Juan, 31.
Recovered from the suspects were 10 grams of shabu, a mobile phone, drug paraphernalia, and the buy-bust money used in the operation.
The drug operation was conducted by the agency in collaboration with PNP Zambales Drug Enforcement Unit and San Marcelino Police Station.
