Authorities seized shabu worth P680,000 during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Bancal, Guagua on May 22, 2025, police said on Saturday night.
The alleged illegal drugs were seized from a "high-value individual" (HVI), identified as “Bert,” 40.
He was arrested by operatives of the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit III (RPDEU-3) in coordination with the Guagua Municipal Police Station at around 10 PM on said date
Police recovered from the suspect 100 grams of shabu, marked bills, and one digital weighing scale.
The suspect was placed under police custody pending the filing of charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Brigadier General Jean Fajardo, director of Police Regional Office III, appealed to the public to help the Philippine National Police in its campaign to maintain peace and order in the region.
“Patuloy naming paiigtingin ang aming kampanya upang mapanatili ang kapayapaan at kaayusan sa rehiyon. Hinihikayat din namin ang ating mga kababayan na makiisa sa laban na ito at agad na magsumbong sa mga awtoridad kung may nalalamang kahina-hinalang aktibidad sa kanilang komunidad,” she said.
