THE total number of coronavirus disease (Covid-19) positive cases in Pampanga have now reached 71 according to the May 1 report of the Provincial Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit (Pesu).
Most of the cases are in the City of San Fernando with 16 positive cases. This is followed by Angeles City with 14 positive cases. Lubao has at least five positive cases along with Porac and Guagua with four cases each.
The towns of Bacolor, Mexico, Macabebe and Mabalacat City each have three recorded cases. Two cases each for the towns of San Simon, Santo Tomas, Candaba, Santa Ana, Santa Rita, Sasmuan and Floridablanca have also been recorded. Magalang town only has one recorded case as of press time.
As of the posting of this report San Luis, Masantol, Minalin, and Arayat towns are still coronavirus free.
Of the 71 positive cases, some 32 have already recovered while 31 are still admitted in designated hospitals in Pampanga.
Some eight people have died from the disease caused by coronavirus.
