PAMPANGA Governor Dennis Pineda again appealed to the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) to re-use a facility at New Clark City to meet the needs of individuals affected by the coronavirus pandemic.

Pineda personally conducted an inspection of the newly set-up infirmary at New Clark City Athletes Village Building B, along with local health officials of Pampanga. The building was previously used as an isolation facility.

The first three floors of the building will be turned into infirmaries to be allocated for mild symptomatic patients. The remaining floors of the five-story building will be used for asymptomatic patients.

According to Pineda, this initiative aims to help decongest hospitals in the province that are full and can no longer afford to receive patients with coronavirus infection.

He said there are already 250 beds ready to be occupied by patients.
