Pampanga governor leads relief team to Cagayan

PAMPANGA Governor Dennis Pineda on Tuesday night, November 17, 2020, led a 90-man team of volunteers, police and Capitol personnel for a relief operation in Cagayan Valley, which was hit by massive flooding due to the release of water from the Magat Dam that caused the Cagayan River Basin to overflow.

Pineda urged the team to observe safety and health protocols during the entire duration of the relief operations, which is expected to reach Cagayan on Wednesday morning. The team brought some 15 truckloads of 20,500 relief packs from Pampanga.

The relief packs will be distributed to the most affected families in the region in coordination with the local government units in the area. While this is happening, relief distributions are also being conducted in different flooded areas of Pampanga on the governor’s orders.
