Pampanga governor sets P75-M for rice assistance

Published on:

PAMPANGA Governor Dennis Pineda announced that P75 million had been allocated for the purchase of rice to be distributed to Kapampangans affected by the on-going enhanced quarantine measures implemented in the entire Luzon.

Pineda said that they are now in the process of acquiring vital needed supplies for distribution. The governor lamented that they are experiencing difficulty in acquiring bulk supplies due to imposed restrictions and checkpoints in vital roadways to the province.

The governor said that he will be meeting with barangay officials to ensure that protocols are met in the distribution of the goods.

Pineda also called on service providers in the water and electricity sector to ensure stable services while the quarantine is in place.

He added that service providers who will not comply with the delay payment scheme and deprive consumers with the supply will be facing charges.
