Pampanga leads Central Luzon MSMEs in 'Likha' trade fair

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO Some 35 exhibitors selling food and non-food items from the province Pampanga led other 113 micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the Department of Trade and Industry's 24th Likha ng Central Luzon trade fair held recently at SM Megamall.

With Pampanga entrepreneurs during the trade fair were MSMEs 30 from Bulacan, 20 from Nueva Ecija, 19 from Tarlac, 18 from Bataan, 16 from Zambales and 10 from Aurora.

The "Likha" trade fair is a joint project of DTI Region III, PhilExport Region III, Regional Development Council III, and Central Luzon Growth Corridor Foundation Inc., and serves as an annual culminating activity of industry and trade related programs given to the entrepreneurs of Central Luzon.

DTI Central Luzon Director Leonila Baluyut said the trade fair is a way of capaciting MSMEs by helping them update, upscale, and upskill their businesses as well as their employees as they shift towards digitalization.

She also expressed her support and gratitude to exhibitors for participating in the event, and called on the public to support the trade fair in order to help MSMEs generate sales which in turn can create more jobs and increase economic activity.
