Pampanga towns start issuing home passes

MASANTOL -- Several municipalities in the province have started issuing home quarantine passes to limit the number of individuals going out of houses.

Among those that are issuing home quarantine passes is the local government here, which shared a sample of temporary permits through its Facebook page created solely for coronavirus disease (Covid-19) response.

The said passes are being distributed to each household in the villages to serve as permits to go out of the house during the enhanced community quarantine across Luzon.

It contains the name of the household head and the address of the carriers, and signature of village chairman who will be issuing it.

The home quarantine passes shall be presented to authorities who are manning the checkpoints in their respective municipalities.

It, however, only allows one family member, although transferrable, to go out and do family errands such as grocery shopping, purchase medicines and do bank transactions.

According to the post, a “no pass, no entry” policy will be strictly implemented by policemen, unless it is for emergency purposes. Violators are warned of possible arrest.

The temporary permit is also expected to help in possible contact tracing should there be reported positive case of COVID-19 in the area they went to.

Aside from Masantol, several municipalities in the province including Apalit, Minalin, Sto. Tomas and Candaba, and villages in the City of San Fernando have informed their residents of the issuance of home quarantine passes.

Residents are asked to coordinate with their respective barangay officials on how to secure home quarantine passes.
