PDEA-Central Luzon seizes P400,000 worth of shabu

MORE than P400,000 worth of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride (shabu) were recovered by agents of Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-Central Luzon during a buy-bust operation launched in Bataan province on Tuesday, September 28, 2021.

PDEA-Central Luzon Director Bryan Babang said the illegal drugs were seized from five suspects identified as Alberto Forte, Ernie Tanarte, Mark Anthony Cuevas, Frankie Olarte and Jocelyn Liwanag

The operation also resulted in the dismantling of the drug den where the suspects were caught and the illegal drugs recovered.

The high-impact operation yielded some 60 grams of shabu with an estimated street value of P420,000; assorted drug paraphernalia; and the buy-bust money.

The arrested suspects will be temporarily detained at PDEA-Central Luzon Jail Facility in this capital city as they are set to face charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
