PDRRMO: 30T families affected by flooding

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO —Some 30,616 families in different parts of Pampanga were affected by flooding.

This was reported by the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) in Pampanga yesterday.

The victims include 15,633 families in Macabebe town and 14,983 families in Masantol town.

These accounts for 99,700 individuals as reported by the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office on July 25.

The flooding has been caused by continuous rains brought about by Typhoon Egay.

Reports show that some 19 barangays in Pampanga towns are flooded.

These include five barangays in Masantol and 14 barangays in Macabebe.

In line with Typhoon Egay, the PDRRMO Emergency Operations Center and Command and Control Center (C3) at the PEO Compound were activated under Blue Alert Status.

It also positioned Disaster Response Equipment and Manpower on stand-by 24/7 along with other member agencies and offices.
