CITY OF SAN FERNANDO Governor Dennis "Delta" Pineda has directed a team to help distribute assistance to earthquake victims in Abra province.
On Tuesday, Pineda had sent 29 vehicles to personally hand over Kapampangan aid to the victims of the 7-magnitude earthquake in Abra last July 27, 2022.
Pineda, along with personnel of the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO), Provincial General Services Office (PGSO), and 29 vehicles including dump trucks, wing van, water tanker, and mobile kitchen motored to Abra to distribute 20,000 food packs, water, and rice donated by Kapampangans.
According to the governor, the aid came from his kabalens as their way of giving back to those who helped the province from the devastations brought about by the eruption of Mt. Pinatubo in 1991.
Pineda was accompanied by Apalit Mayor Jun Tetangco, PDRRM Chief Angelina Blanco, other social workers, and volunteers of PDY Ventures Inc. in the relief operation.
