PNP chief orders commanders' readiness for barangay, SK polls
PHILIPPINE National Police (PNP) Chief Director General Oscar Albayalde ordered all provincial and city police directors to be ready for the barangay and Sangguinang Kabataan (SK) elections on May 14.
Albayalde was in Camp Olivas, Pampanga, recently to launch the Chief PNP OCA Challenge (One Commendable Act) Facebook page.
"I want peaceful elections here," Albayalde said in his message to the provincial and city police directors and other police units in the region who graced the activity.
Albayalde said he wants the policemen to keep guard in every election precinct in the region.
He said one day before the elections, at least 160,000 PNP personnel will be deployed nationwide.
During his short message, Albayalde said the PNP will continue its mandate of anti-criminality, anti-illegal drugs and cleansing campaign.
All the provincial and city police directors, including chiefs of police, were ordered to intensify their campaign against illegal drugs.
"I want a relentless campaign on illegal drugs," Albayalde told all the police directors in the region.
He said he expects best results in the campaign on illegal drugs. (Ric Sapnu)
