
Some P770,000 worth of shabu were seized in two separate buy-bust operations conducted by the police stations in Guagua town and City of San Fernando on Tuesday, May 27.
Colonel Jay Dimaandal, director of Pampanga Police Provincial Office, said operatives of Guagua Municipal Police Station apprehended a 43-year-old man and a 36-year-old woman in Barangay Plaza Burgos.
Recovered from the suspects were some 57.5 grams of shabu with an estimated value of P391,000.
The two were brought to the Guagua police department for custody pending the filing of charges under Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
In the City of San Fernando, the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit, in coordination with the local police and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Region III, caught a 42-year-old Overseas Filipino Worker and a 43-year-old freelance inspector after a transaction with an undercover operative.
Confiscated from the suspects were 56 grams of suspected shabu worth P380,800, a .38 caliber revolver without a serial number containing two live rounds, a mobile phone, and a gray sedan allegedly used during the transaction.
The suspects face charges for violations of RA 9165, RA 10591 (Illegal Possession of Firearms), and relevant provisions of the Omnibus Election Code.
