The Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV) said it will conduct unofficial parallel count of the May 12 elections results.

The PPCRV recently launched its command center in Manila, where it will be showing local and national election returns in real time.

"We will also be auditing the integrity of the transmitted vote where we will be comparing the transmitted election return against the physical pre-transmission of election return printed out by automated counting machines nationwide," the group said.

The PPCRV is an accredited citizens’ arm and an official partner of the Commission on Elections since 2010.

For this year's national and local midterm elections, it has partnered with PLDT and ePLDT Smart for interconnectivity, and AMA Educational System for the computers used in the unofficial parallel count tallying.

PPCRV deploys eight different kinds of poll watchers to monitor election-related materials like Automated Counting Machines, assist in certifications and field testings, ensure smooth conduct of voting, attend to voters’ needs and queries, spearhead prayer vigils and provide direct support to areas lacking volunteers.
