Preschoolers taught about environment through storytelling

SOME 100 preschool students of the University of the Assumption Preschool Department wore their pajamas on Wednesday, September 5, to listen to stories from a focal person from the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR).

The speaker acted as a storyteller, teaching the young pupils on the values of protecting the environment.

The young pupils actively participated in a one-day environmental awareness and storytelling session.

The DENR said the event aims to inculcate in the young minds of the participants the value and importance of protecting and caring for the environment.

It also sought to promote greater awareness and appreciation of the delicate role played by various species of plants and animals in maintaining balanced, clean and healthy ecosystems.

Professor Roilingel Calilung, director of the University of the Assumption Cinense Library, said the activity is part of the #55LibraryActivities under the #UAFive55Projects in celebration of the university's 55th founding anniversary.
