Program to protect CSF folks from cybercrimes eyed

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO - The city government here is eyeing to establish a cybersecurity program to protect residents, especially the youth, from online crimes.

Mayor Vilma Caluag on Monday is planning to partner with CyberGuardians Philippines for the development of the program.

CyberGuardians Philippines is a non-governmental organization fighting online sexual abuse or exploitation of children (OSAEC).

The delegation, led by CyberGuardians Chairperson Mary John Mananzan and Executive Director Maria Concepcion Sangil, presented before Caluag and fellow city government officers the organization’s program.

If realized, workers in the city government and the Fernandinos will undergo educational and training sessions about OSAEC.

Cybercrime victims will also be given healing, recovery, and reintegration programs.
