HUNDREDS of students at the Pampanga State Agricultural University (PSAU) in Magalang town were vaccinated under the Magalang Resbakuna Program (MRP) on Friday, October 29, 2021.

Aside from the students, scores of employees in the said university were also inoculated, said Mayor Romy Pecson.

Pecson personally visited the vaccination of the students at the PSAU Audio-Visual Center. He was accompanied by Councilor Koko Gonzales.

The mayor said more than 2,000 residents, including PSAU students, employees and residents in different villages here, were vaccinated inside the state university campus.

Pecson thanked the PSAU management, headed by Dr. Anita David, and the Supreme Student Council for their support of the local government's vaccination program to prevent the spread of Covid-19 in this first-class agricultural town.

The local chief executive said the MRP has been conducted in barangays San Ilefonso, San Isidro, San Francisco and Plaza Magalang.

The vaccination program is scheduled to be conducted in far-flung villages next week, according to Pecson.

This is aimed to reach out to residents who cannot afford to go to vaccination sites, he added.

Pecson was happy to relay to his constituents that the number of Covidd-19 cases in the municipality is decreasing.

As of Saturday, the active coronavirus cases in the town had gone down to only 20, the mayor said.
