Readiness key to safefty - Guv

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO --- Pampanga Governor Dennis "Delta" Pineda formally turned over 818 first aid kits to the Disaster Risk Reduction Management Coordinator (DRRM) coordinators of private and public schools in the province.

Pineda was accompanied by Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) Chief Angie Blanco during the distribution of the first aid kits.

The governor urged the recipients to "take public safety to heart."

He added that knowledge and readiness are among the key elements in public safety and risk reduction.

The governor vowed that all the DRRM coordinators will be trained in Basic Life Support and Standard First Aid response through the PDRRMO.

DRRM officers from different municipalities and cities in the province and the Presidents of Nanay Community Workers were also given first aid kits.

Raul Sarmiento, Schools Division Office of Pampanga DRRM Division Coordinator, attended the event held in celebration of National Disaster Resilience Month at the PDRRMC Training Center.
