Replacement of Dolores Flyover steel decks set

Published on:

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) is set to replace the steel deck segments of the Dolores Flyover starting May 27, 2025.

The project is expected to cause major traffic congestion near the infrastructure at the heart of the city's business district.

In line with this, the City Public Order and Safety Coordinating Office (CPOSCO) issued an advisory on alternate routes while the DPWH works are ongoing.

The construction is tentatively scheduled to start at 9 AM on May 27 and will continue until 4 AM the following day.

As part of the initial phase, the inner lanes in both directions of the flyover will be closed.

The outer lanes will also be closed at a later stage as the repair progresses.

Motorists are advised to expect slow-moving traffic in the vicinity during the construction period.

Authorities are urging the public to plan trips ahead of time, follow traffic regulations enforced by CPOSCO personnel, and consider using alternate routes to avoid delays.
