Robredo leads classroom turnover in Tarlac

VICTORIA, Tarlac -- Vice-President Maria Leonor “Leni” Robredo led Wednesday the turnover of a two-classroom school building in Batang-Batang Elementary School, Victoria town.

The P1-million facility will accommodate 54 Grade 1 and Kindergarten pupils.

In her message, Robredo said that this project is under her office’s Angat Buhay Program in partnership with Aklat, Gabay, Aruga Tungo sa Pag-angat at Pag-asa Foundation and JVR Foundation who are the key partners in addressing public education concerns in adopted communities.

“We decided to partner with private organizations and foundations for us to find help. We are looking for places, especially remote, small and poor areas that are in need of help and we become the bridge to find assistance that can help them,” she said.

The Vice-President also said that with the large number of programs being implemented, a lot of hope can be manifested in educational foundation.

“It takes a village to raise a child. Together we will work to increase and ensure that our children will live a comfortable life,” she added.

Apart from the school building, chairs, tables, reading materials and school supplies were likewise provided. (PR)
