Santa Rita closes eco-park to lovers, bans recreational activities

SANTA Rita Mayor Ferdinand Salalila had ordered the temporary closure of the famed eco-tourism park in the town from recreational activities and even to lovers who frequent the area for dating.

Salalila banned in a series of issuances on Tuesday jogging, biking, picnics and loitering at the Santa Rita Eco Park. The park is a favorite destination of health buffs, bikers and a leisure destination for people wanting to spend time with loved ones.

But with the ongoing threat of the virus, Salalila said the park is temporarily closed for all recreational activity.

However, the Eco Park access road is open to traffic.

The mayor had also banned the drinking of alcoholic beverages in public, restaurants and eateries in the town.

The Municipal Government also advised that only take-out food is allowed during the duration of the enhanced quarantine.
