CLARK FREEPORT -- Premier shopping mall SM City Clark has distributed 400 "Bears of Joy" to local frontliners.

The Bears of Joy were distributed to the Philippine Air Force Headquarters Air Logistics Command, Rafael Lazatin Memorial Medical Center (formerly Ospital ning Angeles), Philippine Air Force Captain 540 Air Base Group, and Angeles Elem School/Special Education.

SM City Clark Mall Manager Jerwin Jalandoni led the distribution inside

the shopping mall.

The "Bears of Joy" were received by Philippine Air Force Headquarters Air Logistics Command Major Arvin Gundran ACCCS for Military Operations, RLMMC Head Dr. Froilan Canlas, Philippine Air Force Captain 540 Air Base Group Head Captain Jerson Sadsad, and Angeles Elementart School Special Education Head Teacher Editha Pena.

This holiday season, SM Supermalls' "Bears of Joy" honored the salient sacrifice, selfless dedication and courage of the Filipino frontlliners.

The four specially designed plush bears named Kit the Doctor, Heart the Nurse, Ace the Soldier, and Max the Police. Each name corresponds to driving forces that contribute to the insurmountable Filipino spirit.

Kit's name stands for hope; it means that people can thrive no matter what happens. Heart's name means love; the reason why people do what they do.

Meanwhile, Ace the Soldier, whose name means unity, underscores the importance of coming together as a community so that people can stand strong amidst the pandemic. Max's name resembles strength; it means that no matter the adversity, challenge, or tribulation, people will come out victorious and strong.

During the holiday season, shoppers were able to purchase a pair of bear for P200 where one goes to the customer and the other one left for donation.
