MANILA – The prevailing southwest monsoon or "habagat" will continue to bring rains across Luzon, the weather bureau said on Tuesday.
Ilocos Region, Batanes, Babuyan Islands, Abra, Benguet, Zambales, and Bataan will experience occasional rains.
Scattered rains and thunderstorms will prevail over Metro Manila, Calabarzon, the rest of the Cordillera Administrative Region, the rest of Cagayan Valley, and the rest of Central Luzon.
Moderate to heavy rains in the areas above could result in flash floods or landslides, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said.
The rest of the country will continue to experience isolated rains or thunderstorms caused by the southwest monsoon.
Meanwhile, strong winds and rough seas still prevail across extreme Northern Luzon.
The western section of Luzon will also continue to experience moderate to strong and moderate to rough seas. Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate with slight to moderate coastal waters.
PAGASA, meanwhile, said no low pressure area is being monitored for possible tropical cyclone formation. (PNA)
