THE Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (Tesda) distributed personal protective equipment (PPEs) to frontline workers in Pampanga.

“Our Provincial Training Center (PTC) in Guagua fabricated 1,805 pieces of face masks and 486 pieces of face shields,” Tesda provincial director Eric Ueda said.

As of April 25, Tesda Pampanga distributed a total of 1,605 facemasks and 475 face shields to uniformed personnel, local government units and hospitals.

Recipients include the provincial government of Pampanga, city governments of Angeles and San Fernando, municipal governments of Bacolor and Guagua, Green City Medical Center, Pampanga Police Provincial Office, Bureau of Fire Protection and Bureau of Jail Management and Penology-Guagua.

Meanwhile, other technical-vocational institutions (TVIs) likewise donated PPEs.

Global Citi College of Science and Technology donated 1,050 facemasks, Pampanga Federation of Technical Institutions President Gregorio Sison Jr. donated two rolls of fabric for the facemasks, Clark Investors and Locators Association through its President Frankie Villanueva Jr. donated one roll of fabric and Dapdap Training Center donated 859 facemasks.

“The joint effort of Tesda and TVIs made it possible to cater the needs of our frontline workers in Pampanga. In times like this, worry is wasteful and useless. Any good that we can do, or kindness we can show, let us do it now,” Ueda said. (PIA-Central Luzon)
