DESPITE the several changes caused by Covid-19 in everyone's way of life, Vice Governor Lilia Pineda has urged Kapampangans to still celebrate the Christmas but with caution against the disease.
"I know that Covid-19 has brought a lot of challenges for us but do not be depressed. Christmas is coming so let us take time to be thankful for everything that we still have, most especially our lives," she said.
But instead of usual large gatherings, Pineda reminded Kapampangans to celebrate the holidays intimately for the meantime.
"It's better to be safe than sorry. We may not be able to see all of our loved ones this holiday season and be with them when everything is fine, or risk yourselves today and be infected by the virus," she said.
She also asked Kapampangans to join her in praying for the safety of the province and its people, and the quick development of an effective and safe Covid-19 vaccine.
"My only wish is a progressive Pampanga, and rich and safe Kapampangans. Through our united prayers, we hope that we can attain them all," she said.
