CITY OF SAN FERNANDO - The number of Covid-19 cases recorded in Central Luzon remain on the rise, according to data from Department of Health Region III (DOH-3).
As of May 20, DOH-3 reported a total of 1,027 new Covid-19 cases recorded from May 14 to 20.
It is the first time in months that weekly log of Covid-19 cases in the region have breached the 1,000-mark.
The daily average cases have also rose to 151, DOH-3 added.
The region’s healthcare utilization likewise increased to 18% or 374 out of 2,068 non-intensive care unit (ICU) beds used.
For ICU bed utilization, 24 out of the total 255, or about 9%, were also occupied.
Despite the rise in cases, DOH recorded no Covid-19-related deaths in the said week.
