Zambales folks join SM Foundation agriculture program

CLARK FREEPORT -- A group of residents from Zambales province recently completed SM Foundation's Kabalikat sa Kabuhayan (KSK) Sustainable Agriculture Program.

Scores of seniors, persons with disabilities (PWDs), and youth from Olongapo City and San Marcelino, Zambales graduated from the program.

The livelihood program aims to equip farmers with the tools and techniques needed to foster sustainable agricultural practices.

The KSK program is a collaborative effort of SM Foundation, Inc., the Department of Agriculture, Technical Education Skills Development Authority (Tesda), the local government of Olongapo, the municipal government of San Marcelino Zambales, D’ Planners Training Center, SM Markets, SM Supermalls, and other government agencies.

The participants received an NCII certification from Tesda and SM KSK certificates.

SM Foundation - Outreach Program Assistant Vice President Cristie Angeles, congratulated the participants for completing the program.

"The graduates’ hard work and passion are the driving forces behind their successes, they are not only transforming individual livelihood but also contributing to the broader goal of food security and rural development," Angeles said.
